My God is faithful.
He is so very faithful.
I do not understand Him one bit, I really don’t, but I am ever grateful for His faithfulness.
I’d be so lost without it, without Him.
I do not know how, when, or why but… He has been so much more faithful to me than I could ever hope to earn or deserve.
I sit here just in awe of Him.
Only God can make ways where none exist, only He can use strangers and unlikely sources, and bring the impossible to pass. Only Him.
When I am expecting His answer, His provision, His blessings, His presence even, He rarely does what I think He will.
I’m always caught off guard as I look into the distance in anticipation & He shows up from an entirely different direction…
But He shows up.
He never fails.
He baffles the mind in ways I cannot begin to explain, yet I could not be more grateful for Him. For His faithfulness, for His kindness, mercy and grace.
It is He who holds me together.
I pray because I don’t ever want to get complacent nor take Him for granted.
I do not understand the delays, or the countless baby steps, I know they’re for my benefit despite my personal belief that I am ready, only He knows when we are ready, but I’m impatient for our promise. It’s been a long hard road that began years before the loss of the house, or all that preceded it.
Even then, God was doing things that just defied human logic.
The biggest blessing through it all is not what He did or gave, but that in those moments when I had nothing else, He was there, guiding me, teaching me, comforting me, loving me.
Some days, I find myself nostalgic for those days…
I cannot imagine why God has us here, but I am grateful for the people we’ve met, the experiences we’ve shared.
This has been a place of learning to love thy neighbor, without judgment or condemnation. Just genuine people, who want to genuinely help.
It’s hard to be the one who needs the help when you’ve always been the one to give it, but some people give with so much love that it’s makes for a very different experience.
You can feel at home among strangers with God’s heart for His people.
It brings to life the biblical church, for those of us who have never experienced it, and I am thankful for it, because how can I live it, if I’ve never learned it?
When Jesus sent out His 72 messengers He tells them to take nothing, not even clothes, and I can’t imagine that kind of light traveling, because we really do not live in a hospitable world.
Yet my never-changing God has not changed our marching orders. Solomon told us there’s a time for everything, and unknown to him, that includes a time to fully rely on God for all that we could ever hope to need, in whatever manner He chooses to provide it.
A time to put the skills and talents we have honed over the years to work for Him, and rely on Him for our every need in the process, for His kingdom and glory, not because of anything we could hope to earn on this side of heaven, but just for Him.
The Person of God is worth knowing for who He is not what He can give.
Jesus death tore the veil, it granted us access, and because of Him we have The Kingdom of Heaven, here, with in our reach.
Gratitude overwhelms and overflows…

“These were his instructions to them: “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields. Now go, and remember that I am sending you out as lambs among wolves. Don’t take any money with you, nor a traveler’s bag, nor an extra pair of sandals. And don’t stop to greet anyone on the road. “Whenever you enter someone’s home, first say, ‘May God’s peace be on this house.’ If those who live there are peaceful, the blessing will stand; if they are not, the blessing will return to you. Don’t move around from home to home. Stay in one place, eating and drinking what they provide. Don’t hesitate to accept hospitality, because those who work deserve their pay. “If you enter a town and it welcomes you, eat whatever is set before you. Heal the sick, and tell them, ‘The Kingdom of God is near you now.’ But if a town refuses to welcome you, go out into its streets and say, ‘We wipe even the dust of your town from our feet to show that we have abandoned you to your fate. And know this—the Kingdom of God is near!’ I assure you, even wicked Sodom will be better off than such a town on judgment day.”

“When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.”
